Project overview
This client approached us when the original company refurbishing their swimming pool went into administration. Hydrocare was recommended by the fibreglass swimming pool supplier they were using, and so we took over the rest of the pool refurbishment.
When we took on the project, it was about halfway through, so our team had to navigate inspecting the work that had already been completed and finishing the build to our high standards.
Our approach
When we arrived on site, the basic structure, including completed pipework, pool cover tracks, and paving, was in place. The client had already purchased a heat pump and UV system, meaning our team had to supply the filters and oversee the complete installation process.
The pool required rendering and steps. The plant room building also needed significant work to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, the previous contractor had not installed the electrical systems, so our team had to install and test all the electrics for the pool.
While the client opted against an automatic dosing system, we installed a Zodiac cleaner to ensure the water quality would be maintained. As the property was now being turned into an Airbnb, the number of bathers using the pool would increase, meaning that it was essential to be able to keep the pool clean quickly and efficiently between stays.
After consulting with the client, we recommended adjusting the pool depth to create a more versatile swimming environment. This modification was implemented successfully. Finally, we installed a pearl white fibreglass pool and a safety cover.
Final result
Our team’s ability to adapt to the existing conditions while implementing crucial improvements resulted in a beautifully refurbished pool that exceeded the client’s expectations.
